The  Beginning of the Renovation.

A local builder Rafaelle worked on the first apartment renovations, re-wiring, exposing the lounge wall and putting in an ensuite. In July I took a team of 3 dancer friends out with me to do the final interior work. Heidi and Ian who are due to marry in Sept 2006 and Andrew my joiner friend/dancer who lives in Sweden.  Andrew was head kitchen fitter and advisor on the state of some of the wood.

The World Cup  and Weddings.

One of the highlights of the week was the final of the world cup,despite not speaking an awful lot of Italian,

the locals warmed to us and involved us in their celebrations.

More Work - August 2006

Joanna & Ryan - Kitchen		Joanna Polishing the Living Room Floor.

Working with Joanna was easy, we've known each other since we were about 4 years old. I discovered that we still have the ability to know instinctively what we are thinking and with a single glance of mischief, we end up it fits of laughter. I also discovered that Ryan has inherited his mothers' sense of humour so the week was filled with some extremely funny moments, some of which involved jokes "with" the local people. The Italians appear to have quite a sense of humour, we met a few gigglers.

Heidi and Ian's Wedding - September 2006

Heidi and Ian had a wonderful environmentally friendly wedding in a water garden in Leicestershire. Heidi annoounce that she was expecting their first child in January 2007.The day was fantastic. Ian, as ever pround of his Scottish heritage wore a kilt whilst Heidi looked stunning in her alternative wedding gown.
